Hi! We’re Ayla and Mari — two moms who met at baby sensory with our youngest little ones. Mari spotted Ayla sitting by herself and struck up a conversation. It didn’t take long for us to discover we each had older daughters with not only the same name but the exact same spelling! From there, a beautiful friendship began, built on our shared love for motherhood, creativity, laughter — and, of course, food.

After many chats (often about Ayla missing her favourite American treats), the idea of starting a home bakery came up. Ayla asked Mari if she’d be up for turning that idea into something real — and Mari said YES!

Fast forward to today: you can now find our American-inspired bakes at Fodder, local cafés around Harrogate, and markets every weekend. As busy moms ourselves, we know the value of a well-earned pick-me-up — whether it's a treat after the kids are in bed or something sweet to keep little hands happy while you enjoy a quiet coffee.
